With its simple drag and drop interface, business-users quickly create and distribute customized reports tailored to each individual's needs.

How to use Reportive?

All functionality of Reportive is managed from the Reportive Project Manager, which uses a visual interface to display all the steps in the reporting process. From Project Manager, users drag and drop graphic elements representing each step of the reporting process, the same way they would gather "Lego-blocks" to build a "Storyboard".

There are four steps to creating and changing reports with Reportive. Connect data through a set of connection wizards, cleansing and integration tools. Run Analytics and Design Report with designer tools and rules wizards. Send Reports through the delivery manager which controls all aspects of customizing reports and triggering the production. Get response with Active Feedback, the report collection tool used to aggregate quantitative responses.

Reportive can greatly reduce the burden on the IT department to create, prototype and modify reports. However, IT support is invaluable for gaining access to data sources and manage data security aspects.

Although Reportive is much easier to use that traditional highly-specialized business intelligence tools, it still requires proper training and project management. Particularly for larger projects, successful deployment requires careful planning.

Reportive professional services staff or 3rd party consulting partners can manage each step of the reporting cycle: setting project requirements, working with business analysts and IT to connect data, defining KPIs, designing reports, rendering reports, setting up individual customization and distribution of reports, defining active feedback process for responses if desired.

Step 1 - Connect Data

Reportive allows business users to pick only the useful information they need, out of the terabytes available in internal and external data sources. From heterogeneous data sources, applications, and various data formats, it enables access to the right information, using business terms business users understand.

  • The Reportive Data Connectors pull data from sales, marketing, finance systems, MS Excel, Syndicated Data from multiple industries, and other sources (such as Business Objects®, Cognos Impromptu®, Hyperion Essbase®, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft OLAP, Microsoft Analysis services).
  • The Reportive Extraction & Transformation Engine (ET Engine) integrates and consolidates data from multiple internal and external sources – It manages metadata and its logical business meaning.
  • The Reportive Cleansing tools clean the multiple data formats, and helps turn heterogeneous data sources into a single data view.
  • The Reportive Data Slice Loader only retrieves the needed data elements from the appropriate data sources, limiting the amount of SQL queries hitting the data sets.

Step 2 - Design Reports

The Reportive Report and Chart Designers and Analytics and KPI builders allows non-technical users to rapidly become proficient in their tasks, promoting business users' autonomy. They effortlessly introduce new services & products, split product lines, merge territories, re-deploy sales teams, add new channels, and broadcast new directives.

  • Reportive Dashboards are created within Microsoft Office® using Word®, Excel® and PowerPoint® – Business users build the Dashboards and Key Performance Indicators that meet their requirements, rather than be forced to adapt to a cookie-cutter approach or use pre-canned reports.
  • Reportive Business Rules allow quick set-up and modification of dashboards, key performance indicators, consolidation, and integration logic.
  • Generate critical sales metrics, innovative analysis, moving-time series, intricate consolidations, sales and channels incentive programs, and complex bonus plan calculations with high levels of granularity.
  • Business users quickly reflect organizational changes, or market shifts by simply adapting business rules, without coming near scripts, macros, SQL, code or IT.

Step 3 - Send Reports

Reportive reports and KPIs are individually tailored to each information-consumer, and accessed within popular desktop applications – the right information gets to the right people – effortlessly - with arresting visual elements.   • Access Reportive dashboards within Microsoft Office® in familiar formats – Word®, Excel® and PowerPoint®, PDF, and HTML – Performance vs. goals data is available “at a glance” – Staff are kept abreast of corporate goals and strategies, and also understand how they’re expected to contribute.
  • Reportive Easy Views help business users "drill-down" and obtain further understanding into each territory’s dynamics or obtain account detail information. Performance can be analyzed by by region, product, sales channel, or other – Manage sales activities with precision.

Step 4 - Get Feedback
