What's new in Reportive 9.2
Reportive Analyzer 9.2
Grouped items
This new feature allows report designers to group cube items so as to simplify their data or to address customer needs. Reportive takes the group into account in all relevant queries:

Grouped items: PSA = PEUGEOT + CITROEN
|
End users cannot modify the definition of the group. The items that make up the group are automatically hidden.
Shared local cubes
Microsoft local cubes can only be used by one person at a time. In order to make some specific deployments possible, Reportive Analyzer 9.2 integrates the notion of "shared cubes". This means that users do not work directly on the cube, allowing for simultaneous use of the cube by multiple users.
Gauges
This new visual component allows you to see quickly whether objectives are met or not. Two types of gauges are available:
- Half Donut: displays a section and applies the colour of the corresponding range to it. The colour of the text can be fixed or can match the colour of the range.
Another version of this gauge is the text gauge, where the radius of the half donut is set to zero. The text will be displayed with the colour of the range:
- Bullet Graphs : allows you to evaluate the current value against ranges. You can insert comparison markers to represent additional information (target, reminder of last year’s value, country average…).
Printing or taking a screenshot of a report, a tab or a table
New contextual commands allow you to print a snapshot of the report or of a tab in the current calculation context. You can also export the contents of a table in xps format or directly to your printer.
Improved formula editor
-
Aggregatable simplified formulas:
Report designers can specify an aggregation function (sum, average…) for simplified formulas. By default, formulas are applied to the results of the aggregation.
-
Autocomplete:
This feature helps you write advanced formulas by making available information such as the names of dimensions, attributes, members, properties, methods…
-
Local members:
Report designers can now declare temporary formulas, sets, or optimizations so as to avoid repeating calculations.

Range filter
This new type of filter allows you to select a range of items from a market attribute (date, character strings, integers…). If the attribute has a « date » type, a calendar is automatically available to select a date for each limit. Available items in the current filtering context are also indicated by an orange-coloured bar.

Excluding items in rectriction zones
You can now exclude items in specific calculation contexts. The items you have excluded will no longer be taken into account when computing formulas in this context.
 |
| Excluded items are in red |
Merging horizontally cells with the same labels
This new feature allows you to merge horizontally the cells that have the same labels. It is especially useful to exploit hierarchies of varying depths (geography, organization…). This feature is common in Finance, Cost Controlling and Human Resources.

| Cells with the same labels are merged horizontally |
Displaying all items
It is now possible to display all combinations of axis items in a table, including the ones that have no associated data in the facts tables. The setting can be applied to the rows, to the columns, or to both.

Empty values are removed (default behaviour)

Reportive Studio 9.2
Support numerical values on market axes
Numerical items can now be stored in market axes. This allows you for example to store geolocation coordinates without running the risk of aggreggating the values.
Zipping module
This module allows you to compress a group of files into a single Zip file so as to deploy your production easily.
Generating multilingual cubes
You can now generate multilingual cubes (for local cubes, the translation of items is not supported – this is a Microsoft limitation). The cube’s default language can be defined dynamically at generation time. The structure of the cube is exported in Excel format so that translation can be outsourced easily.
