Reportive Studio

Office integration

Reportive Studio can generate static analysis reports in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, PDF or HTML formats, custom dynamic Excel reports (including pivot tables), or Analyzer reports.

Unlike many reporting, analysis or scorecarding tools, Reportive Studio has achieved in-depth integration with the Microsoft Office suite (2003, 2007 and 2010) so as to save users having to learn a new formatting tool - and to capitalize on your skills with the Microsoft Office products.

Designing tables is done directly in Microsoft Excel so that you can take advantage of all the possibilities that Excel offers. You can use any of Excel's static or dynamic formatting features to format your table.

Interactive formatting in Excel

Reportive goes even further by associating formatting actions not to physical Excel cells, but to your data. Reportive thus offers you a unique flexibility, as the appearance or disappearance of items in data axes is automatically taken into account and the table is updated accordingly.

Tables and charts are basic elements of report design. As all Reportive Studio elements, tables and charts can be part of a library of objects and serve as standard components to reuse in other projects. Thanks to Data Mapping, the contents of the table can be adapted to the input data set, while retaining the structure and formatting rules you have specified.

Rendering elements may be used interchangeably to compose reports in native Excel, Word or PowerPoint formats.

The reports can then be saved as native Office, PDF or HTML format. Each element and report can include "Page" axes: a copy of the element (table, chart) or of the report is created for each combination of items. Thus the report template allows for the generation of hundreds or thousands of customized reports.

Excel reports

Excel reports put together tables and graphs generated by Excel in a report workbook, while retaining the position of elements you have defined. Thus, if a report grows or shrinks, the template will be adapted to ensure that the constraints and alignments of the template are respected. In addition, Excel reports have "Section" axes that make it possible to repeat a template (a set of tables and charts) within the Excel sheet itself. Pivot tables and charts can also be customized and sent to your end users.

Word and Powerpoint reports

These reports puts together the elements generated by Excel and adapt them to make up the final report. You can either insert objects as images, or as objects that are directly editable in Excel. All Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint features (styles, animations ...) are available.

All reports can also integrate extra data sets so as to include keywords in the report and complement the generated rendering elements. All these elements are designed to be automated.

Cartography

Reportive Studio offers an optional cartography module based on the Pitney Bowes MapInfo technology, to exploit your MapInfo Professional maps. The maps can then be inserted into Office reports.
