Reportive Data Analyzer

Deploying customized interactive reports

When all your users belong to your organisation and you have a server cube such as Microsoft SQLServer Analysis Services, it is very easy to analyze up-to-date data and to make the right decisions. If in your organization, some users are nomadic and do not always have access to the corporate network (VPN...), accessing information becomes a difficult problem to solve.

Reportive Studio addresses this problem by giving you the opportunity to customize your data cubes based on your criteria, then to create and distribute Analyzer packages to your end users. The package contains a report, its dependencies (logo, images...) and the up-to-date local cube.

Reportive Studio project that distributes reports and customized cubes

The above project shows how easy it is to distribute information. The project extracts sales data from a relational database and enriches them through a Join node, adding sellers' objectives from a Microsoft Excel workbook. After the Join, a Formula node calculates numerical indexes so as to optimize cube query performances. Then a Slicer element cuts the data set by seller.

The blue block is an iterator (ForEach) configured to run multiple iterations in parallel to reduce generation time. All generated packages are then retrieved so as to organize the output (here the output consists of a file with the name of the seller).

The Reportive Studio project can be much more complex - applying filters to the data according to business criteria. It is also possible to precalculate totals for "confidential" hierarchies: this allows you to hide details while allowing comparison between aggregated values.

The same project can also be used to generate and deliver reports indicating the availability of packages, to deliver static production reports in standard formats, to feed a database...

Adding specialized components also allows you to tailor your project precisely to your business needs and to automate your entire production chain.
