Our management team

The Reportive management team combines decades of experience in the business intelligence, analytics and data management space. For example, Hubert Catanese, President and Chief Executive Officer of Reportive, was an early member of the Sun Microsystems sales team, and has since led two successful software companies in the business intelligence and virtualization markets, Medience and Meiosys.

Our vision

The Reportive vision is to collapse the time and resources required to create and modify business reports. Like a Swiss army knife, Reportive tightly integrates all the functions needed to to create and distribute business reports, enabling business analysts to prototype new reports in days that would otherwise take months to complete using traditional, heavy-weight business intelligence tools.

Because Reportive was designed with the needs of business analysts in mind, a single business analyst can prototype new reports or analytics in days and can produce individually customized, departmental reports in weeks. In contrast, highly specialized BI tools often require months of time and teams of IT experts to create new business reports.

Since its inception, Reportive has built a very strong position in the European market for reporting, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry. Our objective now is to replicate that success worldwide through leveraging partners.

Our solution

Creating business reports requires four steps: 1) connect to the data; 2) design the report; 3) send out individually customized reports; and 4) aggregate feedback. Reportive provides a single integrated tool that enables non-technical business analysts to manage the reporting process from start to finish. In contrast, traditional business intelligence platforms require several highly specialized tools designed for IT experts to create a complete reporting process.

The Reportive platform is a visual tool which captures the entire end-to-end process for creating and distributing a report using a "storyboard" approach. Within the Reportive tool, each step in the reporting process becomes an element of the report storyboard:

  1. Connect to data sources: Reportive supports traditional IT data sources and is also optimized to use departmental data sources such as flat files and spreadsheets.
  2. Design report and analytics: Reportive provides strong tools for designing reports and dashboards and can publish reports using any Microsoft Office format or html.
  3. Customize report, render into Microsoft Office format and distribute: Reportive excels at producing a large number of individually customized reports, such as sales territory reports. Reportive also renders pixel perfect reports in your choice of Microsoft Office formats such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  4. Aggregate feedback: Reportive also supports adaptive reporting that enables report recipients to correct or update report data and send it back.

For example, Reportive has partnered with IMS Software, a subsidiary of the $1.8B health care data provider, IMS Health. This partnership uses the Reportive platform to deliver individually customized dashboards to pharmaceutical sales reps that improve sales force effectiveness.
